Lily Shalev, RCC Registered Clinical Counsellor

Lily is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and a member of the British Columbia Association of Clinical Counsellors (BCACC). With a Master of Arts in Bibliotherapy, a psychodynamic form of art therapy, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her clinical practice. Over the past decade of experience, Lily has refined her skills and therapeutic approach through extensive training and work with clients.

Throughout her career, she’s had the privilege of supporting diverse populations across various clinical settings. Her scope of work encompasses individuals who have faced trauma, members of the LGBTQ+ community, young parents, and seniors. Specializing in addressing life transitions, intersectional identities, immigration, grief & loss, depression & anxiety, queer parenting, and relationship counselling, Lily is committed to providing holistic support.

Her focus centers on assisting women through different life stages, from early adulthood to first-time motherhood and other unique transitional periods. She possesses a profound understanding of the challenges women encounter in expressing their authentic voices and navigating the complexities of the world.

In her practice, Lily utilizes an integrative approach tailored to meet the individual needs of her clients, drawing upon modalities such as Psychodynamic therapy, Narrative therapy, somatic techniques, Attachment theory, Imago Relationship therapy, and CBT. She prioritizes creating a safe, respectful, and empathetic environment where clients feel accepted and understood.

Lily strongly believes in collaborative therapy, fostering partnerships with clients to facilitate meaningful growth and healing. She takes great joy in working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and lifestyles, embracing the richness of human experience.
