Over 17 Years of Women - Centered Care
Acumamas began in 2008 with a simple but radical idea: that women deserve consistent, compassionate care throughout their reproductive journey. Founded by doulas and midwives, we started as one of Vancouver’s first clinics dedicated to pregnancy acupuncture—and quickly became a trusted space for women seeking support through fertility, pregnancy, and postpartum.
Over the years, our care model evolved naturally from the needs of the women we served. What began with acupuncture grew into an integrative clinic offering naturopathy, pelvic floor physiotherapy, massage, and counseling—all under one roof. Each addition was a response to a gap in care, and a commitment to meet women where they are, with the support they deserve.
We know that bridging the gaps in women’s healthcare is a bold and ongoing mission—and we don’t pretend the work is done. That’s why Acumamas continues to grow, bringing in new modalities and deepening our approach, so more women can access the care they need, when they need it most. At Acumamas, care is never one-size-fits-all. It’s personal and evidence-informed. And it’s shaped by almost 2 decades of walking alongside women through some of life’s most transformative moments.

Our practice
Rooted in women's health
While acupuncture remains the foundation of our clinic, our team has grown to include skilled professionals across pelvic floor therapy, naturopathic medicine, massage therapy and counselling. Many of us have trained under leaders in the field, and continue to draw from both evidence-based research and time-tested practices.
We’re honoured to be a trusted referral choice for midwives, doulas, OBs, and other birth professionals across Vancouver. But what humbles us most is the trust our patients place in us—often returning through multiple pregnancies, life stages, and seasons of healing.
